about

This song is an anthem of commitment, the commitment we show to ourselves. The self love that we cultivate, and in doing so, the love that we share with the world.

This song is a love song to self.

May we never abandon ourselves again.

May the internal dialogue that we use be affirming and kind, even if we are 'hopeless and shattered".

The words "Eskawata Kayawe" come from the indigenous language of the Huni Kuin, living in the Amazon.

These words mean 'transformation".

I would like to thank the Huni Kuin for all the prayers that they are constantly offering to us as a human race. I would like to add this song as a prayer, giving more power to the movement and momentum of the healing of ourselves and this planet.

lyrics

Song Lyrics

I will love you when you heave with relief
When you grieve for your victories
When you long for your loss
As you bear your cross

I will love you when your body grows old
If you decide to fold
When you lose every battle
When you’re hopeless and shattered

Receive yourself, open your heart and retrieve yourself,
You’re more than what you conceive yourself,
You’re more than what you can believe
Oh hold yourself, open your arms and unfold yourself,
You’re more than what you’ve been told yourself
You’re more than what you can perceive
Eskawata Kayawe

I will love you when you cup overflows
When the greedy winds blow
When you lose every battle
When you’re hopeless and shattered
